Measuring a destination isn't working for it

Almost the entire industry sits in one of four layers. Most diagnose, or hand over a tool. Very few execute — and none execute for the territory and each of its businesses at the same time.

📡

1 · Measure

Sensors, big data, observatories, indicators. It knows what's happening in the destination.

Diagnosis, not action
🖥️

2 · Tools

Portals, CRM, booking engines, chatbots. It hands the manager a dashboard. The legwork is still his.

Software, not work done
🏢

3 · Service

Marketing agencies. They do the work, but their ceiling is payroll: they never reach 300 providers.

Work done, no scale
🤖

4 · Agents that execute

Governed AI agents that do the work for the territory and for each business, with compliance and an auditable trail.

Work + scale + governance

We're the first platform that does both at once: intelligence for the destination and execution for every one of its businesses.

The "smart destination" category already exists and is funded — Spain drives it with public money, Brazil certifies it, the US monetises it in silos. But everyone measures or hands over tools. The box marked "agents that execute, with compliance by design" was empty in Chile and LatAm. Now it has a name.
Why these agents are good

Anyone can rent a model.
Judgement can't be copied.

Anyone can ask an AI for a tourism marketing plan. It comes out generic — it learned from what's written on the internet, which is exactly what no longer works. Destinio's agents were trained on twenty years of managing and digitising real Chilean destinations.

🧭

Trained on real destinations

Antofagasta · Concón · Copper Route (Machalí) · Lago Ranco · Puerto Varas · Llanquihue · Aconcagua Valley. They know how a municipality runs a tender, and what hurts a guesthouse in the low season.

🧱

That experience is the wall

A competitor can buy the same AI model. He can't buy twenty years of having run Chilean destinations. When an agent proposes something to a hotel, it doesn't sound like AI: it sounds like someone who has been there.

Prior track record of the founder in managing and digitising tourism destinations. The seven are the experience that trained the agents — not current Destinio clients. With the agent platform, we operate today in Aconcagua and Chile's Region V. (Puerto Varas was also selected by the IDB's Turismo Futuro programme.)

How it works for your destination

The destination with its brand.
Every business with its team.

🌐

White-label destination portal

Your brand, your colour, three native languages (ES · PT · EN). The visitor doesn't see Destinio: they see the destination. For a municipality or a regional government that isn't aesthetics — it's an institutional communication requirement.

🤝

Onboarding for your providers

Hotels, hot springs, wineries and tour operators come in with their own team of agents: more direct bookings, less OTA commission, and compliance per business. The destination coordinates; each one executes.

📣

Attract and sell

Portal, SEO, Google Ads and AI engines (GEO). Content and campaigns, measured. It replaces the digital agency.

📊

Decide with data

Market, competition, segmentation and recurring territorial reports. It replaces the market research firm.

🛡️

Comply with the law

Consents, processing register and data-subject rights, with evidence. For the destination and every provider.

Client tiers

Four profiles, one engine

Each profile activates the agents it needs. You don't pay for what you don't use — and everyone grows with the territory they're in.

🏔️

Territories

Municipalities and regional governments that manage tourism with data.

🏨

Destinations

Hotels, hot springs, wineries and tours that want to fill the season and sell direct.

🤝

Organisations

Corporations and trade bodies that promote, measure and report.

🏢

Companies

Brands and SMEs that need visibility, content and compliance.

Native tongues · not translation

Our agents don't translate. They were born trilingual.

A translator swaps words. A native tongue knows what to say. In tourism that's everything: SEO and campaigns are precisely what doesn't survive a translation — a Brazilian doesn't google the translation of what a Chilean googles.

🇪🇸

Spanish

Chile and the core of LatAm. It's where local compliance lives: Law 21.719.

🇧🇷

Portuguese

Brazil, the region's largest outbound market. Without native Portuguese, that market isn't served.

🇬🇧

English

International tourism, multilateral bodies and investors. The language a destination sells itself to the world in.

Three native tongues = an entire continent, from day one.

How it's funded and paid

Subscription, not project.
And you don't have to invent a budget.

A portal is built once; content, campaigns and intelligence have to be produced every month. And compliance isn't solved once: it's maintained. That's why the model is a monthly subscription — not a project you pay for and it's over.

🔁

Recurring revenue, recurring work

You pay for a team that works every month, not for a one-off delivery that goes stale.

🧾

No implementation fee

No hidden licences. What's quoted is what you pay.

📅

Predictable budget

A clear monthly fee by client size. Annual payment with a discount.

Pricing

One plan per size

The client doesn't compare us with other software. They compare us with the person they'd have to hire. For reference: a digital agency costs CLP 800,000–3,000,000 a month; a market study, between CLP 2 and 8 million.

See plans and pricing → Request a free diagnostic

From CLP 390,000 a month + VAT, with the compliance module included in every plan. And if for now you only need to comply, the Law 21.719 module is available on its own from 3 UF/month. The detail is on the pricing page.

The window you can't postpone

Law 21.719: in force December 1, 2026

Every Chilean organisation holding personal data falls under it. And the law doesn't ask for a checkbox: it asks for evidence that the person consented. The same engine that attracts and sells leaves compliance running.

✅ Consents

Captured in online flows, with evidence of when, how and what for.

📋 Processing register

Record of Processing Activities, built and kept current by process.

⚖️ Data-subject rights

Access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability, with traceability.

The honest caveat: between Dec-2026 and Dec-2027 smaller companies get a written warning on their first infringement, not a fine. Just one. After that come the fines — up to 20,000 UTM.

The size of the prize

What it's worth to move the needle in your destination

Using SERNATUR's average spend per tourist — CLP 220,572 per long trip, CLP 64,820 per short trip — the destination sees live how much additional revenue is on the table.

The ceiling of the prize for the territory

It shows the size of the prize, not a guarantee of results; the employment multiplier is an assumption still to be validated.

Frequently asked

What destinations ask

What is a smart tourism destination?

A destination that uses data and technology to manage itself better and attract more visitors sustainably. The category was defined by the Spanish model (SEGITTUR) around governance, innovation, technology, sustainability and accessibility. Destinio adds the missing layer: AI agents that also do the work — SEO, content, campaigns and compliance — for the destination and for every one of its businesses.

How is it different from a digital agency or a piece of software?

An agency does the work but doesn't scale to the whole destination; software gives you a dashboard but the legwork is yours. Destinio puts governed AI agents that do the work for the territory and each business, with compliance by design and an auditable trail — at subscription prices, not payroll prices.

What is Law 21.719 and why does it matter now?

It's Chile's personal data protection law. It comes into full force on December 1, 2026, with fines of up to 20,000 UTM. Between Dec-2026 and Dec-2027, smaller companies receive a written warning on their first infringement before a fine. Destinio's compliance module leaves consents, the processing register and data-subject rights running with evidence.

How much does it cost?

Plans with agents start at CLP 390,000 a month plus VAT, with the compliance module included in all of them. If for now you only need to comply with Law 21.719, the module can be contracted separately from 3 UF a month. The detail of the four plans is on the pricing page. For reference: a digital agency costs between CLP 800,000 and 3,000,000 a month, and a market study between CLP 2 and 8 million.

Does it work in several languages?

Yes. The agents work natively in Spanish, Portuguese and English — they don't translate. SEO and campaigns are precisely what doesn't survive a translation, so the native tongue is the condition for it to work, not an ornament.

How do I start?

With a free diagnostic of your destination. The agents analyse your portal, your channels and your social presence, and we send back the recommended set for your territory. It's the product working, not a contact form.
